National Framework

Supporting the National Ear and Hearing Care Plan

Recognizing the scale of the hearing health challenge, the Rwandan government has put in place the National Ear and Hearing Care Plan (NEHCP) for 2018-2024 to prevent hearing loss and ensure early identification and treatment of preventable causes.

HHR provides strategic and technical advice to the Rwandan government on implementing the NEHCP and contributes to the improvement of affordable, high-quality ear and hearing care services.

This long-term collaboration underscores the national priority of preventing avoidable hearing loss and supporting children's healthy development.
